Backlight cutting manufacturers explain common sense about handling backlight scratches
Foshan Zhuohong Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd. specializes in light guide plate cutting services.
Today, let's talk about the common sense of handling scratches on light guide plates.
I. Why is the surface of the light guide plate easy to get dirty and scratched? The surface of the light guide plate is easy to adhere to dust, fingerprints and other dirt. Friction or collision with foreign objects will produce scratches; in fact, this property is the same as ordinary acrylic. It's just that the light guide plate guides light from the inside under the action of the light source, so the dirt and scratches on its surface are very intuitive, while ordinary acrylic does not have light guide performance, and can only be seen from the side to see its surface dirt and scratches.
II. Basic common sense for controlling surface dirt and scratches on light guide plates:
1. Avoid processing and installing light guide plates in dusty workshops; be sure to install and process them in dust-free workshops.
2. After removing the protective film from the light guide plate, avoid touching the light guide plate with wet or sweaty hands;
3. Before removing the protective film from the light guide plate, the dust and debris on the surface of the light guide plate and in the installation structural parts should be cleaned;
4. Do not remove the protective film from the light guide plate too early. It should be removed before the installation of the light guide plate according to the processing process;
5. When handling light guide plates, avoid arbitrarily rubbing or bumping the surface of the light guide plates; avoid sand leakage into the gaps of the light guide plates where the original plates are placed; when cutting light guide plates, clean the foreign objects on the surface of the cutting bed;
6. Avoid wiping the surface of the light guide plate directly with non-cotton materials.
III. Common sense for handling dirt on the surface of light guide plates: The dirt on the surface of light guide plates mainly includes dust, fingerprints, and residual water stains during casting. The common sense of handling is as follows:
1. All the above dirt can be wiped off with a cotton cloth dipped in alcohol;
2. After wiping with alcohol, it should be air-dried or blown dry, otherwise, water will remain on the surface of the light guide plate, which will produce bright spots when in contact with reflective materials or pictures;
3. If the dirt on the surface of the light guide plate is not very obvious, it is recommended not to wipe it, otherwise, improper handling will produce new scratches;
4. If the light guide plate has static electricity, it is easy to adhere to dust and is not easy to clean; 1% soapy water can be used, and a soft cotton cloth dipped in soapy water can easily remove dust and achieve a cleaning effect.
IV. Common sense for handling scratches on the surface of light guide plates:
1. Shallow scratches can be wiped with alcohol to reduce the effect of scratches;
2. Deeper scratches can be polished with an electric roller [cloth roller], which is a common method for acrylic products.
V. How to remedy unresolvable surface problems of light guide plates: If the dirt and scratches on the surface of the light guide plate are difficult to handle, or the handling work will affect the overall work efficiency; the following methods can compensate for the defects caused by the surface problems of the light guide plate on the product:
1. If there is a certain space distance between the display picture of the light box or display product and the light guide plate, the defects on the light guide plate will generally not be seen after the picture is installed;
2. For particularly light-colored pictures or pictures that are close to the light guide plate, a diffusion film must be covered on the defective light guide plate, which can generally completely compensate for the surface problems of the light guide plate;
3. There are various types of diffusion films on the market. If the light guide plate is severely scratched, a thicker diffusion film can be used, which may affect the brightness of the light guide plate, but the brightness reduction will generally not exceed 15%.

Features of electronic panel saws
By adding automatic feeding and positioning devices to the reciprocating saw, an electronic panel saw is created. Electronic panel saws use CNC program control. Workers input the required dimensions and quantity of materials on a touch screen or PC, start the machine, and the machine automatically feeds, positions, and cuts the materials. It features high cutting accuracy and efficiency, reduces worker workload, and is widely used in furniture factories, packaging factories, hardware factories, and appliance factories (lighting) for efficient processing of panels.
